Two teenage boys appeared at the Children's Court in Dublin yesterday charged with the murder of a 19-year-old man in Templeogue, Dublin, earlier this year.

The 16-year-olds, who cannot be named, were charged with murdering Mr Brian Mulvaney at The Watercourse, Orwell Park Dale, on March 11th. They were also charged with assaulting another youth with intent to steal; assaulting a third youth, causing harm; and possession of an offensive weapon, a drinking glass, on the same date.

Supt Anthony Brislane told the court that he arrested both youths after they appeared by appointment at Terenure Garda station yesterday.

Judge Michael Connellan remanded both youths in custody until July 4th.
