Kevin Ryan and Neil Callan carried their good form over to Ireland as Uhoomagoo swept to victory in the Michael McNamara & Co Handicap on the final day of the week-long Galway Festival.
The pair have formed a formidable relationship this season and were back in the winner's enclosure again today as the 7-1 chance came from another parish to take first place.
The seven-year-old gelding was stone last during the early exchanges but Callan finished with a late flourish to prevail by one and a half lengths from Senator's Alibi.
Camargue stayed on to take third place, while Majestic Times was fourth in the seven-furlong contest.
"He's a great little horse for me," enthused Ryan, who was saddling his first ever runner at the Irish track.
"I thought the race would be run to suit him as he likes to come from off the pace. He won really well at Newcastle last week and it's nice to come home and have a winner in Ireland."
A delighted Callan said: "He's a really good horse and I was always confident. I stayed on the inside to save a bit of ground and once he cut the corner, that's when he showed his true class.
"On his day there are few better than him so I'm obviously very happy."
