London - Britain's 2 million Muslims are an inspiration, the Prime Minister, Mr Tony Blair, said yesterday.
In a message to the Muslim News to mark the start of Ramadan, Mr Blair said: "Ramadan is a month when Muslims can reflect on their lives and their faith. Through fasting one is encouraged to focus attention on those who are less fortunate than us and through the collective contribution of the community, millions of people throughout the world are helped.
"The 2 million Muslims in Britain are an inspiration for us all and we can learn much from you during this time."
