British property tycoon Nicholas van Hoogstraten today had his conviction for manslaughter quashed at the Court of Appeal in London.

The Court ordered that Hoogstraten should stand trial again on a charge of the manslaughter of business rival Mohammed Raja.

Mr van Hoogstraten had been jailed for ten years at the Old Bailey last October for manslaughter.

The tycoon (57) was convicted in July of the manslaughter of Mr Raja after they fell out over a property deal.
