British police have warned that a high risk sex offender who is wanted for recall to prison may be in Northern Ireland.
William John Paden (56) is being sought by police in Lancashire after he left an address in Blackpool.
Police believe he may have travelled to the North and have warned he poses a “significant risk” of reoffending.
Paden has 19 sexual convictions dating back to 1974, including rape, indecent exposure, assault with intent to rape, indecent assault on a girl and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
He is banned from associating with children unless they are accompanied by an adult over 21.
He recently breached his Sexual Offences Prevention Order.
Det Supt Ian Critchley, head of Lancashire Constabulary's Public Protection Unit, said he believes Paden “poses a significant risk of harm and I would appeal to anyone who knows where he may be to get in touch with us”.
