LONDON - A drug originally designed to treat ulcers could help stop bleeding after delivery and has the potential to save, 250,000 lives a year, a British researcher said yesterday. The drug, misoprostol, was designed to counteract stomach damage caused by painkillers. It is also used to induce abortion.
