GAA:Ulster were in the ascendancy once more as they claimed a record 29th Interprovincial football title after they defeated Munster 0-15 to 1-08 under the stewardship of Joe Kernan at Ruislip this afternoon.

Points from Paddy Bradley, Kevin Hughes and Michael Murphy helped Ulster to a 0-8 to 0-4 half-time lead.

The game turned early in the second period when Gary Hurney netted for Munster within three minutes of the restart. They went ahead for the first time through Daniel Goulding in the 48th minute.

However, Ulster stepped up their game and managed to convert five unanswered points at the end of the game, two of them coming from substitute Daniel Hughes.

Over 1,000 spectators turned up to watch the match at the west London venue.
