An undercover journalist posing as a security guard at the Wimbledon tennis tournament has been arrested by police, it emerged today.
The reporter, understood to work for The Sunnewspaper, was employed under a temporary contract by Group 4 Securicor for the world famous sporting event. He was arrested yesterday afternoon in connection with security at Wimbledon after a series of checks by police.
The Sundeclined to comment on the incident. A spokeswoman for Scotland Yard said the man was being held in custody at a south London police station.
The arrest at Wimbledon comes only days after The Sunsparked a security review at Sandhurst military academy following claims that an undercover reporter breached the boundaries and took video footage of Prince Harry.
