BEIJING: China has not gone far enough in sharing information to help fight the war against terrorism, the US claimed yesterday, Miriam Donohue, Asia Correspondent, reports.
The chief of the US Pacific Command, Admiral Dennis Blair, said defeating shadowy terror groups required unprecedented pooling of information, and although progress was being made across the Asia-Pacific region, Beijing seemed to be coming up short on specifics.
Speaking in Hong Kong, Admiral Blair said other governments that the US was co-operating with, like the Philippines or Singapore and Malaysia, were involved in very "detailed and tactical" information sharing of the type needed to take action.
