A plane carrying the US country group the Dixie Chicks, who played a concert in Dublin last night, was involved in an incident this evening as it landed at Glasgow Airport.
No one was injured in the incident when a wing-tip apparently clipped an airport building as they flew in to land. The band intends to perform as planned at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre.
Their publicist, Barbara Charone, said: "The girls are all absolutely fine. I'm sure it wasn't pleasant.
"The incident happened when part of the wing just hit a corner of the building."
Glasgow Airport officials said the Dornier 328 twin-engined jet, carrying 15 people including the crew landed around 3.25pm.
"It was taxi-ing at a very low speed towards the general aviation terminal, where private aircraft park when the wingtip clipped the Glasgow and Strathclyde University air squadron building."
He said fire and ambulance attended "as a matter of routine" but there were no injuries.
He said the building suffered damage to a roof panel and "about one or two feet" of the plane's wingtip was damaged.
