A US data storage company is to create 95 jobs in Cork over the next five years, it was announced today.
Engenio Information Technologies is establishing a global operations and supply chain management centre in Cork.
The new centre will support a wide range of operations including product manufacturing and testing. The centre is being supported by a grant from IDA Ireland.
The company first established a presence in Cork in 2000 to supply European customers.
Minister for Enterprise Trade and Employment Micheál Martin said the continuing growth of a "data storage cluster" in Cork is critical to the future development of Ireland's IT industry.
Engenio chief executive Tom Georgens said Cork was a "natural choice" for the new centre given the city's convenient access to key markets and a highly skilled workforce.
