A Chicago man accused of being a scout in the 2008 attacks in Bombay today pleaded not guilty to the charges during his first court appearance since his October arrest by US authorities.
David Headley (49) has been co-operating with authorities as they investigate his role in the attacks which killed 166 people, including six Americans, in the Indian city. He could change his plea at a later date.
Mr Headley was born in the United States, but spent much of his childhood in Pakistan where he was raised by his Pakistani father.
