One US soldier was killed and three were wounded this morning in an attack on a convoy north of the Iraqi capital.
Guerrillas fired rocket-propelled grenades on the six-vehicle convoy near the town of Baquba, about 40 miles north of Baghdad, an army spokesman said today.
"One soldier died, one has a chest wound and two were hit byshrapnel," the spokesman said."They used rocket-propelled grenades and AK-47s."
The death brings to 65 the number of US soldiers killed inattacks since Washington declared major combat operations overon May 1st.
