Vacancies on over 100 courses waiting to be filled

The college-offers season is over, well almost

The college-offers season is over, well almost. Yesterday's second round of offers brought a further 3,600 offers to CAO applicants. However, if you're still searching for a college place there are vacant places on more than 100 courses available through the CAO. These are listed below.

Remember, you must fulfil the minimum educational requirements, including any specific subject requirements. These places are open to you whether you have already applied to the CAO or not. If you have applied, there is no further fee and no need to complete a further application document. Simply inform the CAO of the desired course(s), quoting your application number.

If you have not applied previously, you must contact the CAO at Tower House, Eglinton Street, Galway, for an application form. In this case a fee of £18.90 applies.

Or if you prefer, you can log on to the CAO's website at www.cao.ie. The CAO will continue to post updated lists of vacant places on the website until mid-October. An existing applicant need enter only her CAO application number to request vacant-place application material. A person who has not applied in 2000 may enter her name and address and the CAO will send on the material.
