Authorities in southern Russia began mandatory vaccinations today after freak floods killed at least 58 people on the Black Sea coast.
Local residents, as well as holidaymakers, will be vaccinated against Hepatitis A and typhoid fever.
The latest official death toll for the floods stands at 58 people but could rise further as some 20 people are missing.
About 2,000 rescue workers are searching for survivors and trying to restore electricity and phone lines.
Rescuers found six cars and three bodies in the Black Sea yesterday. Most of the dead were holidaymakers, many of them drivers of cars that were swept into the sea by floodwaters.
