London - The veteran broadcaster and former BBC newsreader, Robert Dougall, has died at the age of 86. He started his career with the BBC as an accountant in 1933, moving into radio announcing for the Empire Service the following year.
He was appointed a BBC TV newsreader in 1956 before reluctantly taking retirement in 1973, aged 60.
