A 44-year-old man who was seriously assaulted in Dublin on Monday has died in Beaumont Hospital. He had been in a critical condition since his admission and died shortly after 8 p.m. last night.
The man was attacked in Greendale Shopping Centre, Kilbarrack, around 1.35 a.m. He had been in conversation with another person when he received a blow to the face and fell backwards.
Kilbarrack Fire Brigade attended the scene and alerted the Garda that a man had suffered a heart attack.
Gardaí confirmed that the victim came from Coolock, Dublin, but his name will not be released until all next of kin have been informed. Gardaí in Raheny are now appealing for witnesses.
