After a short-lived cinema release, Brian Gibson's film deserves to reach a wider audience on video. It is a very funny but ultimately affectionate picture of a once popular Seventies rock group whose old antagonisms resurface when they reunite after 21 years. As the vain, glazed-eyed lead singer, Bill Nighy shines in a fine cast.

This witty, offbeat and good-natured comedy, a surprise big hit in its native Australia, deals with a folksy family which responds with dogged determination to resist attempts to have them move from their home in the vicinity of an expanding airport. There are spirited performances from the mostly unfamiliar cast.
