Former world champion Jacques Villeneuve fears for his Formula One future after admitting he has had no offers of a drive for 2004.
The 32-year-old Canadian believes BAR's engine suppliers Honda are pushing to have Japanese test driver and former Jordan racer Takuma Sato in the car next year.
"There is no inkling of an offer coming from anywhere right now," he said. "There hasn't been an offer from BAR either. I am working hard on it . . . but there are people working hard against it.
"I don't think it is my hands right now, it is in [BAR sponsors] Lucky Strike's hands, in the team's hands and in Honda's hands."
Villeneuve equalled his season's best result with sixth place in yesterday's Italian Grand Prix at Monza but would have to accept a massive pay cut to stay with the BAR team next year.
