Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Mobile group said today its customer base rose by 37 per cent during its third quarter to December 31st.
Britain's fifth-largest mobile phone company, which listed last July at 200 pence per share, said it added 417,000 net customers in the three-month period, taking its total subscriber base to 5.026 million.
But customer revenues, or annual revenues per user, slipped to £132 sterling in the quarter on a rolling 12-month basis from £137 in the previous quarter, the no-frills service provider said.
