Viridian today announced it had agreed to sell its software and IT services subsidiary Sx3 for more than £150 million.
The purchaser is software company Northgate Information Solutions and the deal, which is conditional on clearance from the Office of Fair Trading and Northgate's shareholders, is expected to be completed by the end of April.
Sx3, established by Viridian in 1997, is a software and IT services company focused primarily on the UK public sector, mainly local government.
Viridian is the parent company of Northern Ireland Electricity.
