Mobile telephone operator Vodafone today announced pricing for its 3G services, handsets and voice calls.
Vodafone Ireland has introduced two pricing models for its customers, Super Time 300 and Super Time 500.
For €69 per month Vodafone customers will be able to avail of 300 minutes plus 100 'call a friend' minutes for free. "Super Time 500" offers customers 500 minutes plus 200 'call a friend' minutes free of charge for €99.
Vodafone, which has built out a €150 million 3G network that covers just over 60 per cent of the country, is the first operator to announce its range of handsets and services designed for the specialised, high-speed data networks.
The mobile network enables data to be transferred at speeds up to 384 kilobits per second.
Such speeds enable handset users to watch television or film-clips in real time and access a far greater range of Internet services from their mobiles - and to make video calls.
