Libertel-Vodafone, the Dutch arm of Vodafone Group, today announced the launch of General Packet Radio Services to its corporate mobile subscribers.

Cisco Systems' Dutch sales staff are among the first customers for the service, which includes access to corporate e-mail, intranets and local-access networks.

Ernst & Young is also considering setting up a "mobile office" for its employees using Libertel's network, the company said.

The corporate GPRS service is charged according to volume not time, Libertel said, noting that only the sending and receiving of data is billed.
