The EBS is to vote today on the re-election of independent non-executive director Ethna Tinney.
Ms Tinney, a Limerick based producer with Lyric FM, was appointed as a non-executive director by the society in August 2000. She was reappointed with the board's approval in 2004.
Ms Tinney has claimed that the board is not supporting her due to issues regarding with corporate governance and "aspects of senior executive remuneration," a claim rejected by the board.
The agm takes place at 2pm today in the Burlington Hotel, Dublin, and will begin with the chairman's review of the past year. Ms Tinney is expected to take questions from the floor before the vote on her re-election.
The vote on Ms Tinney's re-election will be the first at the meeting, followed by a vote on increasing the remuneration of non-executive directors, and the re-appointment of the auditors, Ernst & Young, who are conducting the voting process.
