Wales coach Steve Hansen today named two uncapped backs in his training squad for the Six Nations Championship.
Llanelli centre Matthew Watkins and Pontypridd out-half Ceri Sweeney have both been rewarded for consistent club form this season.
Llanelli captain Leigh Davies will feature in a national squad under Hansen for the first time after winning a recall.
Swansea centre Mark Taylor returns to the fray following injury problems last year.
Mefin Davies is the only hooker named in the 31-man squad. A second hooker will be selected in the next few days. Barry Williams, Robin McBryde, Andrew Lewis, Dafydd James, Neil Jenkins, Andy Marinos and Sonny Parker are unavailable.
Wales open their campaign against Italy in Rome on February 15th.
