Shane Warne has decided not to appeal against his 12-month ban from cricket, insisting today that "enough is enough".
The 33-year-old had originally intended challenging the penalty imposed by the Australian Cricket Board's anti-doping tribunal on Saturday for taking a banned diuretic.
But after assessing the situation over the past four days, Warne said he could not put his family through "even more stress".
His decision to take the ban "on the chin" came only hours after the ACB published the tribunal's findings, saying Warne had provided evidence that was "vague, unsatisfactory, inconsistent and not entirely truthful".
Warne released a statement, saying: "After much advice from a lot of different and various people, I have decided not to appeal the 12-month suspension.
"Although I find this penalty very harsh and I am extremely disappointed that this has happened, I have decided that I no longer want to put my family under even more stress.
"Enough is enough."
