Ikea has warned customers in Ireland about faulty children’s high chairs sold at its stores.
Parents who bought the Antilop chairs have been told the safety belts can open unexpectedly.
The company has received eight reports of belts opening, with three case resulting in minor injury when a child fell from the high chair, a company spokesman said.
Ikea has asked customers who have an Antilop high chair to check its supplier number and production date.
It says only chairs from supplier number 17389 with production dates between July 2006 and November 2009 are affected.
Worried customers have been asked to visit Ikea or contact its customer service desk on 1890 876 707 to receive a replacement belt, free of charge.
A spokesman said: “No other high chairs are affected. Ikea apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.”
