High seas and strong wiinds last night prevented any attempt by the Doolin Rescue Unit to recover the body of a Dublin woman who fell to her death at the Cliffs of Moher yesterday morning.

The woman, in her early 40s, was part of a tourist group and fell to her death at 11.15 a.m. yesterday at the Cliffs. The Irish Coastguard helicopter, along with the Doolin Rescue Unit arrived at the scene shortly after, however they were unable to recover the woman's body which lay at the base of the 600-foot high cliffs yesterday evening.

It is thought tonight that it may not be until Wednesday before the woman's body will be recovered due to the adverse weather conditions.
