People are strongly advised to contact the event organisers ahead of travelling to see if it is still going ahead.

In Dublin’s Docklands the popular Christmas market opens today. The market will run for 20 days and have over 100 market traders selling a range of Christmas products.

Belvedere College will also play host to a Christmas market from 12pm-8pm on Saturday and Sunday. After the market there is a performance of the Nutcracker by the Irish National Youth Ballet in the college's O'Reilly Theatre and on Sunday there is a Christmas Carol Service at 7pm.
