As thousands of people go on the move for the last weekend of August, there are no major delays in the country's airports and all ferries are sailing according to schedule. Ahhh, if only it was so simple across the travel spectrum.
For train users track work is causing passengers to travel by bus between Cobh and Glounthaune and Manulla junction and Ballina.
Thousands of sports fans are expected in the capital this weekend to sample the delights of the GAA.
As usual this means traffic jams and long ones.
The roads will be busy from the north on Sunday as thousands travel south to witness the final stages of the All Ireland football championship when Donegal take on Armagh to decide who will meet Tyrone in next month's final.
Again, usual restrictions will apply with restricted access to Cliftonville Road.
This week's Luas track-laying is on the northside along Amiens St where from tonight, there will be no left turn allowed into the IFSC and no right turn from will allowed for buses into the IFSC.
This disruption will last for only 12 weeks. AA Roadwatch is advising traffic from the northside to divert via Sherrif Street and Seville Place.
Those travelling from the southside should divert via North Quays and on to Commons St.
The beautiful city of Cork does not escape however as major traffic diversions are in place to accommodate Cork Main Drainage Works. Some of Washington St will be reduced to one lane of traffic.
Again, this slight disruption will only last for the next three months.
Restrictions will be in place around Limerick's Thomond Park tomorrow for the friendly rugby international between Ireland and Italy.
Roadworks are in place on the N6 at Horse Leap in Athlone and will be in place until at least Friday September 5th. Road users are advised to expect delays.
Roadworks are in place again today on the N9 on the Carlow side of Castledermot. In Waterford, roadworks are in place on Keanes Rd and also at the junction of the Glen and Morgan St. Taylors Hill Road in Galway remains closed until the end of August, also due to roadworks.
