Dublin
Evening rush-hour traffic on the Ratoath Road/Broombridge will be delayed by ducting work. Works will also take place on Leeson Street Upper in off-peak times this week, including the Waterloo Road and Wellington Place junction.
Traffic on the N1 at Julianstown, north of the Balbriggan bypass, will be delayed by roadworks. There will be some delays outbound on the North Strand at the Five Lamps due to road reconstruction.
On the Finglas Road, work on the bus lane will be carried out between 10 a.m and 4 p.m. Installation of another bus lane will mean changes in the layout at Manor Street/Aughrim Street. Motorists and the No 37 Bus will be diverted. Off-peak work will be carried out on the route outbound from Amiens Street to Buckingham Street. Beaumont Road and Grace Park Road will be affected by roadworks from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. Works are also in operation on the inbound carriageway of the Naas Road, east of Rathcoole. Island Street, Essex Street West and Carlton Road are closed to through traffic.
Rest Of Leinster
Very long delays are expected at Dunboyne village, Co Meath, due to major roadworks for the next six to eight weeks.
Roadworks between Carlow and Bunclody at Kildavin will cause delays. In Louth, there are delays on the N2 through Collon, where traffic is one-way. Elsewhere on the N2, there is ongoing work north of Ardee.
Ulster
Drivers using the Donegal bypass are urged to take great care on the N15 just north of Donegal, where works are continuing. In Belfast, expect delays in Albertbridge, where traffic is reduced to two lanes at peak hours and one lane at off-peak hours.
Munster
Roadworks have resumed on the N7 Dublin to Limerick Road from Sallymount to Daly's Cross and will take six weeks. Traffic will be single lane from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and until 4.30 p.m. on Saturdays. Also in Limerick, there is no through road from Athlunkard Street to Baal's Bridge via Sir Harry's Mall. Access to the mall from Athlunkard Street is limited to business and residential traffic until April.
In Cork, Pope Road is closed at its junction with Rathmore Park for the next three months due to drainage work. There is no through road from Old Youghal Road to Blackpool as a result. The Park and Ride shuttle service will continue on Saturdays between County Hall and Grand Parade.
Connacht
In Galway, the Newcastle Road entrance to the university will be closed to traffic for the next year, while in Sligo the remaining section of the N4 between Castlebaldwin and Ballinafad has opened.
Bus And Rail
For the next eight weeks, between mid-Monday morning and Friday afternoon, all passengers travelling between Dublin and Galway will travel by bus between Ballinasloe and Galway due to track upgrading work.
Certain train journeys will also involve bus transfers tomorrow due to engineering works. The 12.10 train from Limerick to Ennis and the 13.50 train from Ennis to Limerick will be replaced by bus transfers. On the Galway-Heuston line, the 10.50 and 15.25 trains from Galway and the 7.20 and 11.00 trains from Heuston will feature bus connections between Ballinasloe and Galway.
The 8.28 train from Connolly Station to Sligo and the 13.25 train from Sligo to Connolly Station will include bus transfers between Boyle and Sligo. Eireann will run Special buses to the Punchestown races, will leave Busaras 90 minutes before the first race.
