Dublin
Roadworks will be carried out in Harcourt Street from Charlotte Way to St Stephen's Green for three weeks. One lane of traffic will be affected between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and after 7 p.m.
Diversions will be in place for motorists and the 37 bus route due to work on the quality bus corridor. The layout at Aughrim Street-Manor Street will be changed. There will be no left turn from Manor Street on to Aughrim Street. Expect other bus corridor work on the Oscar Traynor Road, Coolock; in Dorset Street; on Stillorgan Road, and on Finglas Road outbound from 10 a.m.4 p.m.
There is a new road layout with two lanes from Blake's Cross southwards to Lissenhall dual carriageway and no right turn exit at Turvey junction. Expect delays on the N1 at Julianstown, north of the Balbriggan by-pass, where there will be roadworks and temporary lights for several weeks. Ducting work will cause minor outbound delays on Ratoath RoadBroom bridge in the evening rush.
There will be roadworks on Leeson Street Upper in and out- bound during the off-peak times this week and on Amiens Street to Buckingham Street outside the rush-hour. Essex Street West is closed to through traffic.
Rest Of Leinster
Long delays are expected in Dunboyne, Co Meath, because of major roadworks which will last for the next six to eight weeks. There are temporary lights in operation. Roadworks in Kildavan at the Carlow-Wexford border, on the road between Carlow and Bunclody, will continue for several months. There are delays on the N2 through Collon, Co Louth, where traffic is one way and temporary lights are in operation. There is also ongoing work on the N2, north of Ardee.
Munster
As a result of ongoing road- works, traffic restrictions will be in place at Lock Quay, Limerick, until early March. Roadworks will continue on the N69 at Mungret and Clarina, Co Limerick, with temporary lights until early February. Roadworks on the N7 Limerick-Dublin road from Sallymount to Daly's Cross will continue for six weeks.
In Cork, Pope's Road is closed at its junction with Rathmore Park for the next three months due to drainage work.
There is no through road from Old Youghal Road to Blackpool and drivers travelling between Dillon's Cross and Blackpool should use Glen Avenue instead. Great William O'Brien street is still one way.
Road Deaths:
Four people have died in road accidents in the last seven days and there have been 25 deaths so far this month. Last year 35 people died in January.
