On Sunday the All Ireland Football Championships at Croke Park will affect traffic in and around the stadium. Restrictions will be in place from 8 a.m. Motorists are advised to avoid the area both before and after the match. Parking is available at O'Connell School and Clonliffe College, and also in city-centre multi-storeys.

The junction of Grand Canal Place and Market Street will be closed from 6 a.m. tomorrow until midnight on Sunday.

A vintage car rally will close the Knocknamarrif-Ballyanley road (LP2762) from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow. Watergate Street will close near the Cork Road junction in Bandon at the weekend.

MEATH

The Slane 2000 Music Festival takes place this weekend, and heavy traffic is expected. Restrictions on the Navan approach, Drogheda approach and the N2 both ways, from Collon and Dublin, will be in place from 10 p.m. today. Only residents and those with passes will be permitted to use the village from 10 p.m. today until 8.30 a.m. tomorrow. There will be no parking and no access to Slane until 1 a.m. on Sunday. Car-parks will be provided on each of the routes approaching Slane.

WEXFORD

The Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann in Enniscorthy will severely disrupt traffic. Those travelling from Dublin and north Leinster should take the N11 via Gorey, Camolin, Ferns to Enniscorthy; traffic from the midlands is advised to take the N80 via Bunclody; Rosslare and Wexford traffic take the N11 via Oilgate; traffic from Kilkenny and South Leinster should take the R702 out of Kiltealy; and traffic from the Munster region is advised to take the N30 from New Ross.

AIR RIANTA

More than 194,000 passengers are expected to pass through Dublin Airport this weekend. Passengers are advised to allow sufficient time to comply with security regulations.

IARNROD EIREANN

Further disruption to rail services over the weekend, with the services to the south, south-west and Westport affected the most severely. Passengers should check details of cancellations, timetable changes and extra train services by contacting the Iarnod Eireann information line on 1850 366 222.

DUBLIN BUS

Special buses to Slane tomorrow, departing every 20 minutes from the Dublin Bus headquarters at 59 Upper O'Connell Street from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. A return ticket is £12 and will be sold only at the ticket office in O'Connell Street. The Nitelink service will continue to operate every hour on the half-hour from 12.30 a.m., and a fifth service is to be added for 4.30 a.m.

BUS EIREANN

Special buses for both the Curragh races and Slane tomorrow. The bus for the Curragh races will leave from Busaras 1 1/2 hours before the first race, with advance tickets costing £6. Buses for Slane will leave Busaras between 9.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Tickets are still available at £12 but must be booked in advance.
