A Protest march over the closure of three Dublin hospitals is expected to cause major disruption in the city this afternoon. Beginning at 3 p.m. at St Patrick's Cathedral, it will travel to the Dail via Dame Street.

Expect delays on the Dundrum Road and the Kilgobbin Road in Stepaside which are reduced to single-lane trafficEireann works. The Upper Kilmacud Road is one-way between Sweetbriar Lane and Marsham Court.

Gas works on Booterstown Road will reduce traffic to a single lane. A diversion will also be in operation, leading to severe disruption at the junction with Rock Road.

Minor delays will be caused by Esat work on Kildare Street and Baggot Street Lower. Exchange Street Lower reopens tomorrow after pipe-laying work.

Cork

Driver interviews taking place this month as part of a Cork transportation project may cause delays. Further delays can be expected on Lower Glanmire Road between Beales Hill and Skew Bridge because of ducting work. The Mallow/Mitchelstown Road is closed today but will be open tomorrow and Sunday.

Phoenix Street is closed between Crane Lane and Smith Street for Telecom Eireann work. Bord Gais is undertaking work on Ballinlough Road and Summers town Road.

DonegaL

Expect delays on the Ballybofey Road while construction of the Donegal bypass continues.

Galway

Roadworks continue on the Headford Road and on the N18 south of Oranmore. Shop Street remains closed to all traffic.

Kildare

Shaw Bridge in Kilcock is closed to heavy vehicles. An alternative route via Maynooth/Barberstown Cross should be used if travelling between Clane or Naas and Kilcock.

Limerick

Motorists are advised to drive with care at Hassetts Cross where roadworks are taking place. There is no through road from Athlunkard Street to Baal's Bridge via Sir Harry's Mall.

Meath

Pipelaying will cause disruption on the Duleek to Kilmoone road. The R152, Kilmoone to Drogheda road, is closed at Duleek for road and bridge works. Detours are in operation.

There will be temporary lights and diversions at Clonee due to roadworks. Traffic-calming measures are in operation in Enfield on the N4.

Roscommon

Pipelaying on Castle Street will cause delays. Traffic on the N4 Dublin-Sligo road is being diverted on to a new road over the Curlew mountain.

Waterford

A new traffic flow system has been introduced at Rice Bridge. Williamstown Road is single lane from Farran Park to St Catherine's Grange for road improvements. Temporary lights are in operation on the N25 between Kilmeaden and Waterford.

Westmeath

Reconstruction work at Canal Bridge at the junction of the Dublin road, N4, and the Delvin road, N52, will cause delays.
