Dublin

There will be roadworks on Harcourt Street between Charlotte Way and St Stephen's Green; at the junction of Vernon Avenue and Seafield Road; on Oscar Traynor Road in Coolock; Dorset Street; Upper Leeson Street (at off-peak times); Finglas Road (10 a.m.-4 p.m.) and the junction of Portland Row and Amiens Street/North Strand.

The eastbound lane on North Wall Quay will be closed between 8 p.m. and midnight on weekdays and between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. at weekends.

ESAT work will take place on Hume Street from 10 a.m. to4 p.m. and from 7 to 11 p.m.

There will be severe disruption due to drainage work on the inbound side of Charlemont Street. Bord Gais will continue mains replacement on Philipsburgh Avenue in off-peak hours, with traffic reduced to one lane.

Eastbound traffic on the Tallaght by-pass from Tallaght will be diverted onto a new link road to the Firhouse/M50 roundabout. For the next 11 weeks there will be alterations to traffic flows in the vicinity of this roundabout.

A section of Blanchardstown Road North will be closed.

Barney's Lane, between the Saggart junction on the Naas Road and Lucan, will be closed and diversions are in place.

Haresfield Road in Blakestown and Woodall Road in Clonsilla will be temporarily closed until 5 p.m. daily.

Antrim

There are roadworks on the A6 at Main Street, Toome.

Armagh

The A51 (Madden Road) in Tandragee is closed due to bridge reconstruction work.

Belfast

Refurbishment work on the Albert Bridge continues to cause delays and diversions.

Carlow

There are roadworks causing delays on the Carlow-Bunclody road at Kildavan on the CarlowWexford border.

Cork

Popes Road is closed at its junction with Rathmore Park due to drainage work. Thus there is no through road from Old Youghal Road to Blackpool and drivers travelling between Dillons Cross and Blackpool should use Glen Avenue.

The park 'n' ride shuttle services will continue on Saturdays between County Hall and Grand Parade. Services will operate every 15 minutes from 9.30 a.m. to 6.15 p.m.

The road from Warrens Cross Road (Barnahely) to Coolmore Cross Road at the grotto is closed to all vehicles.

Donegal

There are roadworks on Main Street, Stranorlar, with a oneway system and diversions.

Roadworks continue on the Sligo side of Donegal town. Work continues on the Donegal by-pass, with temporary traffic lights on the N15 just north of Donegal town. Drivers are warned to be very careful.

Galway

Due to building work at NUIG, the university's entrance on the Newcastle Road has been closed with all traffic now entering via University Road.

There are roadworks on the coast road between Galway and Oranmore.

Kildare

A new sewerage system is being built in Kilcullen, with traffic on Main Street disrupted and delays expected.

Leitrim

There are realignment works on the N16 Sligo-Enniskillen road about four miles west of Manorhamilton.

Limerick

The local primary road between Walkers Road and Ballyclough (Annacotty) will be closed until the 21st due to sewerage work. The alternative route is via the Monaleen Road and Sandville Cross.

There are emergency roadworks on Lower Cecil Street between Henry Street and Howley's Quay with a diversion in place. Roadworks will continue to restrict traffic in Lock Quay.

There are roadworks on the N7 Limerick-Dublin Road from Sallymount to Daly's Cross.

There is no through road from Athlunkard Street to Baal's Bridge via Sir Harry's Mall. Access to Sir Harry's Mall from Athlunkard Street is limited to business and residential traffic.

Louth

There are delays on the N2 through Collon village where traffic is one-way and temporary lights are operating. There are also roadworks on the N2 north of Ardee.

Meath

There are major roadworks in Dunboyne village with temporary lights in operation and very long delays expected.

There is continuing resurfacing work on the N4 east of Rathowen village.

Waterford

A new roundabout is being built in Dungarvan at the Kilrush junction. All traffic approaching the new roundabout on the N25 and N72 should do so very carefully.

Rail Information

Between mid-Monday morning and Friday afternoon, all train services between Dublin and Galway will be disrupted by bus transfers between Ballinasloe and Galway required by track upgrading.

Road Deaths

Up to yesterday morning, a provisional figure of 52 people had died in road accidents so far this year.
