In Dublin there will be traffic disruption until the end of August on Artane roundabout where the Malahide quality bus corridor is being built.
A new traffic layout has been introduced on Milltown Road at the Nine Arches during work on the Milltown Road traffic realignment project, according to AA Roadwatch.
Castle Street in the city centre will be closed for the next 23 weeks for work near the junction of Werburgh Street and Christchurch Place.
Wicklow Street and Clarendon Street will be closed for the next three weeks to allow pavement and environmental works.
Upper Kilmacud Road will be closed until June 12th for the construction of a cycle lane, so it will give no access to Stillorgan or Sandyford Industrial Estate.
Sycamore Street in Temple Bar will be closed until the end of July for development works.
Richmond Avenue South in Milltown is closed for six months for drainage works, local access only.
In Galway, roadworks continue on the Headford Road near Quinnsworth. Major roadworks are taking place on the Ballymoneen Road.
In Limerick there are roadworks on the N7 from Sallymount to Daly's Cross for the next eight months with single-line traffic.
In Kildare Shaw Bridge in Kilcock is closed to heavy commercial vehicles until the end of August.
In Waterford it is hoped a new traffic flow system at Rice Bridge will help in-bound traffic and in Cork the collapse of a bridge has closed the road between Lombarstown and Gortroe in Mallow.
In Meath the N1 will have a temporary traffic diversion in operation about one mile south of the Mosney junction for the next eight weeks. There is a 30 m.p.h. speed limit.
Westmeath has reconstruction work at the Canal Bridge at the junction of the Dublin Road, N4 and Delvin Road for the next eight months.
Burrishoole Bridge in Mayo is closed for the next three months.
There is traffic realignment on the N16, Sligo to Enniskillen Road in Leitrim with speed restrictions in operation. Flagmen are in operation during working hours.
In Roscommon, traffic on the N4 Dublin to Sligo Road is diverted on to the new road over the Curlew Mountains. Traffic is diverted north of Boyle and there are temporary traffic lights coming into Boyle from Dublin. It will rejoin the existing N4 south of Ballinafad. The diversion is 7.3 km.
Iarnrod Eireann has several special trains for the Leinster Hurling championships being held at Croke Park on Sunday. There will be extra services between Dublin and Rosslare, Clara in Tullamore, Waterford and Ballybrophy.
At Dublin Airport new facilities are in service to help relieve congestion. These include the new pier, officially opened next week, and new facilities in the old terminal building. This is the first time passengers have used the original building since 1971. This is part of pier A, used by Ryanair and the Aer Lingus Commuter service.
