Severe delays are expected during the morning peak on Charlemont Street, Dublin, due to roadworks that will continue for the next four weeks and will close the road until Saturday. Prices Lane will be closed for pipe-laying work for two weeks.

Stocking Lane in Rathfarnham will be closed at the interface with the proposed Southern Cross Motorway - an Edmonstown Road, Mount Venus Road route is advised.

Bord Gais will be carrying out work on the Glendalough Road from Botanic Avenue to the Hollybank Road for the next two weeks. Delays are expected on Botanic Avenue and Clonliffe Road, with temporary traffic lights in operation.

Major cabling work continues in Blackrock on Main Street, the bypass and from Blackrock to Baker's Corner. Works continue on the M50/Firhouse roundabout, where flagmen will be on duty again this week at Balrothery between 9.30 a.m. and 4 p.m. and again after 7 p.m. at different intervals.

St Margaret's Road at the back of Dublin Airport will have roadworks and temporary traffic lights until Tuesday. Henry Street/Mary Street will be closed to through traffic until November 30th, and only delivery vehicles will be facilitated. Essex Street West is also closed to through traffic.

Work continues on the Quality Bus Corridors on the Finglas Road outbound and on Leeson Street.

Serious delays are expected in Kilcullen, Co Kildare, where construction of the new sewerage system will disrupt traffic on Main Street. The route should be avoided until next month. Northbound traffic is reduced to one lane at the railway bridge on the N7 near Kildangan in Co Kildare following a serious accident at the bridge. A diversion remains in place for southbound traffic.

The road between Carlow and Bunclody is now open in Kildavin at the Carlow/Wexford border. Roadworks there are no longer affecting traffic. Delays are likely on the N76 between Kilkenny and Callan at Shellumsrath during daylight hours on weekdays.

Munster

Works on the Mallow-Tralee rail line finish today. Dublin and Cork-bound travellers should note that departures from Tralee to Mallow are 20 minutes early this morning. Buses will operate between the two stations.

Access to Sir Henry's Mall in Limerick to Athlunkard Street is limited to business and residential traffic until the end of the month. In Cork, bridge construction work continues on Lancaster Quay.

Connacht/Ulster

Departures from all stations on the Sligo-Dublin line between Sligo and Mullingar will be 20 minutes early because of works on the line. There will be bus transfers between Longford and Mullingar for all Sligo trains from mid-morning on Monday to Friday afternoon until the middle of July. Drivers using the N15 just north of Donegal Town are urged to exercise extreme caution due to roadworks on the Donegal by-pass. In Galway there are roadworks on the Coast Road to Oranmore.

Speed restrictions are in operation on the N16, about four miles west of Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim.
