Dublin

Dublin

The green route from the new roundabout at Taylor's Lane to the Templeroan roundabout is now open.

Between 9.30 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. each day until November 13th, Strand Road and Beach Road will close to inbound traffic. Diversions will be in operation, but those heading to EastLink should leave in plenty of time.

A new road layout has been introduced at Artane roundabout and there are ramps on the approach roads. Northbound and southbound traffic on the N1 is being diverted on to the new N1 at Gormanston for the next two weeks.

Major roadworks continue at Milltown Road/Sandford Road with severe delays.

Limerick

There are roadworks on the N7 Limerick/Dublin road from Sallymount to Daly's Cross for the next five months. Road work at Hassetts Cross means the surface will be poor.

Cork

Temporary traffic lights are in operation on the N20 (the Cork-Limerick road at Mallow) for the next two weeks due to construction of a new roundabout.

There are roadworks on Watercourse Road near Maddens Buildings.

Kyle Street is closed for repaving. Alternative routes to North/South Main Street are via Adelaide Street or Castle Street.

Waterford

Roadworks and temporary traffic lights are in place on the main Dungarvan road about five miles east of Dungarvan at Pike Hill. These works will continue for the next four weeks from 7.45 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily.

Meath

For the next three months there are extensive roadworks on the N3 Navan Road about one mile south of Dunshaughlin near the County Club. Temporary traffic lights and lane restrictions in operation with severe delays each day.

Louth

For the next four weeks there are roadworks on the N2 north of Ardee. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation 24 hours a day. Long delays are expected.

Leitrim

There are realignment works on the N16 Sligo-Enniskillen road about four miles west of Manorhamilton until the end of the year. Speed restrictions are in operation.

Westmeath

There is resurfacing on the N4 east of Rathowen village with temporary traffic lights.

Roscommon

Traffic on the N4 Dublin-Sligo road is being diverted on to the new road over the Curlew Mountain. Traffic is diverted north of Boyle town and there are temporary traffic lights.

Donegal

There are roadworks on the Donegal Road at Letterkenny and on the Sligo side of Donegal town for the next few weeks.

Sligo

Work is under way for the next two to three weeks in the town with delays likely on various roads.

Rail information

A major refurbishment of Connolly Station in Dublin is under way until mid-1999.
