Motorists are warned of gridlock on the main routes out of Dublin this weekend. The rush is expected to begin at about lunchtime today, with the worst delays expected in mid-afternoon and early evening.
Tailbacks are expected particularly on the N4 approaching Enfield. Very heavy traffic is also expected on the N6 heading west, with crowds travelling to Galway for the last few days of the races.
Dublin There is a major change to the traffic layout at the M50 Fir house junction. Extreme caution is advised.
Bord Gais will be carrying out work on Pembroke Road, Raglan Road, Elgin Road and Clyde Road. It is also working on Em met Road, between Tyrconnell Road and Turvey Avenue.
The Kellystown Road in Rathfarnham is closed, with an alternative route advised along the Ticknock Road and Harold's Grange Road.
Also in Rathfarnham, Stocking Lane will be closed at the interface with the proposed route of the Southern Cross Motorway. An alternative route is advised via the Edmonstown and Mount Venus roads.
Delays are expected on Park gate Street during peak times as work is carried out on Dorset Street and at the North Circular Road, closing the NCR Gate at the Phoenix Park.
Kildare Roadworks will continue on the Liffey Bridge in Celbridge.
Carlow
Traffic is reduced to a single lane on the N9 Leighlinbridge Bypass between Leighlinbridge and Royal Oak. Dublin/Waterford traffic should use the N78 via Athy and Castlecomer.
Offaly
Resurfacing work continues on the N7 at Dunkerrin south-west of Roscrea.
Cork
Patrick Street northbound will be closed between Grand Parade and Academy Street to allow for drainage work.
Bridge construction continues on Lancaster Quay. No traffic or parking will be allowed on the right-hand side between Little Hanover Street and Woods Street.
Bachelor's Quay between Devonshire West and Henry Street is closed.
Limerick
Work continues on the Raheen Roundabout. Wexford
Roadworks will cause major disruption on the N25 between Carrigbyrne and Ballinaboola. There is also work on the N25 at Barntown.
Donegal
Roadworks on the Sligo side of Donegal town continue. There are also roadworks at Barns more Gap. Road-widening works are in operation between Ballybofey and Letterkenny.
Belfast
Bus lane contra-flows continue in the Corporation Street area, while diversions continue on Ribble Street, from Newtownards to Tamar Street. Details courtesy of AA Roadwatch
