There will be fewer roadworks than normal in Dublin city this weekend as Operation Freeflow continues. However, there will be footpath works at Lower Leeson Street, Camden Street Lower, Ormond Quay Lower, Parnell Street and Malahide Road.

Ducting works on the Milltown Road and Dundrum Road are due to be completed tomorrow. Work on a bus corridor at Amiens Street will affect outbound traffic. Bus corridors are also being created on the Navan Road, North Strand Road and Stillorgan Road.

Roadworks at Athlunkard Street, from Nicholas Street to Sir Harry's Mall, could mean long delays.

There are temporary lights and roadworks on the N69 in the Mungret and Clarina area and also at Ballyengland. There is single lane traffic on the N24 at Oola because of bridge repairs. Roadworks continue on the N7 Dublin Road from Sallymount to Daly's Cross. Single lane traffic between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. tomorrow.

Meath:

Roadworks continue on the N3 Navan road about one mile south of Dunshaughlin near the County Club. Expect severe delays.

Cork:

There are roadworks on Model Farm Road between Cork Business Technology Park and Farranlea Park. Pipelaying works will continue on the N8, Cork side of Fermoy. Great William O'Brien Street is one-way northbound due to paving works.

Kildare:

Roadworks will mean diversions in Kildare town for southbound traffic. Waterford: Roadworks and temporary lights are operating on the main Dungarvan road at Pike Hill.

Donegal:

Temporary lights are operating on the N15 north of Donegal town because of work on the bypass.

Louth:

Expect delays on the N2 through Collon village and on the N53 Dundalk to Castleblaney Road at Hackballscross due to resurfacing.

Belfast: Work continues on Albert Bridge and delays are expected. Roadworks on the Springfield Road will mean lane restrictions outside peak hours.

Road Deaths:

Thirteen people were killed on the roads in the past week, bringing the number of deaths this year to 418. There were 431 road deaths to the end of November 1997.
