Dublin

An extra lane turning right at the Tallaght bypass junction to the Old Bridge road will be in place following the abolition of the right turn inbound from Templeogue village to Springfield road, or outbound from Templeogue Road to Templeville Road. Due to the closure of part of Stocking Lane, in Rathfarnham, until December 17th, motorists are advised to travel via Edmonstown road and Mount Venus Road.

Gas works are in place on Sandymount Avenue until December 17th. Griffith Avenue will be closed until December 18th. Ross Road and Sheriff Street Lower will be closed until February 6th and December 20th respectively.

Traffic is restricted to a single lane in each direction at the Jack Lynch tunnel until December 5th.

Carlow

There are roadworks at the junction of the N80 Portlaoise road and N9 Dublin road until the end of January, where major delays occur at peak times.

Meath

Major roadworks are in place on the N4 between Enfield and Kilcock until spring 2000.

The official switch-on of the Christmas lights at Dublin Airport will take place today at 5 p.m.

Iarnrod Eireann

Trains will not operate on the Dublin-Westport and Ballina railway line between Roscommon and Athlone from midmorning on Monday until midday on Friday.

Bus Eireann
