Major roadworks throughout Dublin city centre suspended this weekend due to the high volume of traffic expected in the city. Sandycove Avenue West lane closures until December 20th due to filming work. Sheriff Street Lower closed for emergency work on Sheriff Street Bridge.

Roadworks in Ashbourne on N2 between Balrath Cross and Rathfeigh Cross.

Cork

The following roads are closed: Moore Street, Centre Park Road (between Bord Gais and Link Road), Castle Road (near Convent Road), Convent Avenue and Millard Street.

A park-and-ride service will operate daily from Victoria Cross to Grand Parade every 10 minutes, starting at Victoria Cross at 8.30 a.m. (10.30 a.m. Sundays). A service linking Blackpool (Old Glen Rovers' Hall) and Patrick's Bridge/Lavitts Quay will operate every 15 minutes, starting at 9.30 a.m. (10.30 a.m. Sundays).

Passenger numbers through Dublin Airport are expected to exceed 127,000. Passengers are advised to allow sufficient time to comply with check-in regulations.

Dublin Bus

A park-and-ride service is in place at Donnycarney church. It will operate daily until December 24th between 9.30 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday to Saturday, and 3 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. on Sundays. Costs £3.50 per car for five people. Nitelink will operate until December 31st, with the exception of Sundays, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

A free shuttle bus will bring customers from St Stephen's Green East, South and West, Cuffe Street, Camden Street, Charlotte Way and Harcourt Street to link up with the Nitelink departure areas of College Street, D'Olier Street and Westmoreland Street. The buses depart at 12.30 a.m., 1.30 a.m. and 3.30 a.m.

Cold on Saturday and Sunday with frost and fog slow to clear. Wintry showers in the north, tending to outbreaks of rain in the south.

Very cold at first on Monday, but becoming milder with some rain or drizzle. Some light rain on Tuesday.
