Brussels - The Duke of Wellington was handsomely rewarded for his victory at Waterloo in 1815. But a new battle is brewing after the publication of a book in Belgium demanding that his descendants stop reaping the rewards. A retired Belgian senator, Mr Jean-Emille Humblet, argues that it is unacceptable that the duke continue to be paid almost $210,000 a year. The duke still enjoys the title of the Prince of Waterloo and must be addressed as "Your highness". Now Mr Humblet has launched a court case seeking to cut off all such privileges.
