Wales captain David Young has retired from international rugby after winning his 51st cap at prop in the 30-16 loss to Argentina on Saturday.
Young (34) went on three British and Irish Lions tours and captained his country 12 times. He also won 14 international rugby league caps.
"It is always a difficult decision to walk away from something that means so much to you, but in the wake of recent results I felt this was a decision I had to make," Young said in a statement today.
"Since 1987, when I won my first cap against England in the World Cup in Australia, I have achieved all my goals in rugby union and many of them in rugby league.
"I've always given everything to Wales, but I feel the time is right for someone else to take over the captaincy and the tighthead prop position".
Young said he had thought about quitting after Wales's 36-6 loss to Ireland in the Six Nations championship last month.
