Sander Westerveld has expressed his anger at Liverpool's double goalkeeper swoop yesterday - demanding clear-the-air talks with manager Gerard Houllier.
The Anfield club completed the signing of Czech Republic stopper Jerzy Dudek in a Stg£4.85million deal and then secured the surprise transfer of Coventry goalkeeper Chris Kirkland for a £6million-plus fee.
But Westerveld told a British tabloid: "I am very upset by what has happened. Houllier promised I would be his number one keeper, whatever happened.
"But when you buy someone for such an amount of money, you cannot believe they will be a substitute.
