Wexford and Waterford progressed to the National Hurling League semi-finals after five and one point victories over Galway and Tipperary respectively.
Wexford were particularly eye-catching and progress to meet Kilkenny after a well deserved victory at Nowlan Park.
Eugene Cloonan was in fine form for Galway, scoring five of his side's nine points in the first half. But despite his accuracy, Wexford were never adrift for too long and the teams were level at the break.
The key score of the game came six minutes from time when Rory Jacob's shot was flicked into the Galway net by Eoin Quigley.
Waterford led Tipperary by seven points at half-time but their 14-man opponents rallied in the second half, but fell short of securing a famous win.
Having failed to perform in the opening half, Tipperary only came to life four minutes into the second period when John Carroll was sent off on a straight red card.
The team rallied superbly and Paul Kelly's goal 22 minutes into the half reduced the margin to a single point.
In the dying seconds Eoin Kelly put Waterford ahead before Willie Ryan equalised. Extra-time loomed but substitute Paul Flynn pointed to secure Waterford a date with provincial rivals Cork.
