Wexford 1-16 2-09 Clare:Wexford won promotion to the Allianz Hurling League Division 1 after today's Division 2 final win 1-16 to 2-09 against Clare at Semple Stadium this afternoon.
Rory Jacob's late goal was the telling score.
Clare took the lead for the first time through a Colin Ryan goal in 37th when he latched onto Pat Vaughan’s clearance and fired home.
Clare’s second goal came in the 49th minute after John Conlon was denied by the upright but was fortunate to get a second chance and made no mistake for a 2-06 to 0-10 lead.
Further scores were traded before Jacob’s secured the title and promotion at the end.
