A 26 year-old Wexford man has been convicted at Wexford Circuit Court of assault causing harm to a publican in the county over two years ago.
Kieran Roche, of Main Street, Taghmon, Co. Wexford, had pleaded not guilty causing serious harm to Andreas Ryan on December 6, 2003.
Mr Ryan, who ran a pub in the village of Taghmon, is confined to a wheelchair as a result of the assault.
Judge Michael O'Shea remanded Roche in custody for sentencing on April 25 next.
