This year’s All-Ireland senior football final has thrown up the rare treat of Donegal against Mayo. It promises to be a momentous affair for both counties who can only boast four all-Ireland’s between them.
Donegal supporters will be hoping to repeat the success of 20 years ago when their one and only final appearance saw them running out 18-14 point winners against Dublin.
On the road to this year’s final the Ulstermen saw off both Cork and Kerry and they will be hoping to continue their impressive displays based on a defensive solidity until at least Sunday evening.
For their part Mayo fans are desperate to see the county capture a forth title. But with the last one coming in 1951 the men for the West will be hoping Sunday’s final doesn’t turn into the all too familiar graveyard of green and red dreams as their previous five finals appearances have.
Losing three times to Kerry and once to Meath and Cork, Mayo will be hoping for better luck against the team from Ulster.
Whatever the outcome, the contest is expected to bring a riot of colour and noise to Croker on Sunday.
So, we're looking for photos of the most ardent fans, bedecked in their county’s colours; the most festooned streets, the most decorated houses or vehicles for a montage of photos we’re compiling, ahead of the big game.
Send your pics of how you are showing your support to news@irishtimes.com and they will be considered for use in an All Ireland Football Final photo gallery.
