THE widow of a man found battered to death in the Shore Road area of Belfast last weekend was charged yesterday at Belfast Magistrates' Court in connection with his murder.
Mrs Helen Harbinson (37), of Johnstone Court, Station Road, Greenisland, Co Antrim, was accused of withholding information about the killing of her estranged husband, Mr John Alan Harbinson.
A taxidriver, Mr Richard Magee (57), of Glasgow Street, Belfast, faced a similar charge.
Mr Harbinson (39), who lived in the Shankill area, was left dying in an alleyway beside Mount Vernon flats after being handcuffed and beaten. It is thought he was abducted after leaving a pub.
